Gay Picnic @ Clapham Common

✔THIS EVENT IS FOR GROUP MEMBERS ONLY. WHICH MEANS NO PLUS FRIENDS UNTIL WE ARE BACK TO NO LIMITATIONS!

We are back to welcome you to a few hours of idyllic blissfulness from lockdown to feel alive again!

How it will work is: I will adhere to the government rules of groups of 6 people and ask you to please follow the safe distance ruling also.

We will sit in the park and enjoy drinks and snacks or whatever you choose to bring along. Details of nearest supermarkets below. Sharing of food & drink is not encouraged.

We will be sitting on Celine Zara Design's Social Distance Picnic Blanket (https://www.celinezaradesign.co.uk/the-picnic-blanket). Alternatively, please feel free to bring your own blanket or mat, or enjoy the grass, however you prefer.

Just get out of the house with a mind to make the most of your time out; laugh, smile, jokes, blow kisses and air hugs, dance even to music from your smartphone or other means, no matter just enjoy.

You are welcome to join anytime after 2pm - just let me know when you're coming!

Please only RSVP if you're 100% sure of attending, as this is only open to the 1st 6 number of RSVPs... Don't forget to message me or change your RSVP to not attending, if you are not coming along, in order for those who can attend to be added to the list (I'll provide my contact details and you can message me through the meet-up platform also). If you're arriving slightly later or need to cancel at the last minute, no problem at all, but please keep me informed so I know who to expect.

I don’t charge fees for attending our meet-ups. However, contributions towards the picnic blanket (£30 inc. postage) in the form of monetary donations of any amount /wine /vegetarian snacks would be very welcome - thank you! The PayPal link works on both desktops and smartphones.

Shy Bi's & Gay Guys

I run the "Shy Bi's & Gay Guys" & "London Gay Socials" groups on Meet-up.

Shyness and social anxiety can hold guys back from forming meaningful platonic and romantic relationships. It can be tough enough ‘coming out’, but being introverted can make it even more of a challenge and sometimes you need a gentle push.

So, whether you consider yourself to be ‘gay’, ‘bi’, ‘bi-curious’, ‘pansexual’ or any other label; whether you are ‘in the closet’, ‘out’ or in the process of ‘coming out’; whether you are vulnerable or feel at risk, this group brings us together. We embrace those who have experienced depression, anxiety, loneliness or isolation, especially if you may be considered on the spectrums of ADHD, Autism & Asperger’s, Bipolar, OCD and/or Schizophrenia.

You may be a highly sensitive person who experiences intense highs and lows to an extreme degree. You may be an artistic Creative with a vivid inner world hidden and locked away. You may feel easily overwhelmed by large groups of people, unsettled by the turbulence of the LGBT dating scene or sidelined/neglected in a whirlwind of rapidly spinning social circles. Anxiety may have even prevented you from moving forwards in friendships and relationships with other people because you're afraid of either hurting or getting hurt. This Meetup group is designed for you!

Have you ever taken years to build up the confidence to go to an event only to be disappointed? Want to attend an LGBT event but held back by your shyness? Simply come as you are. There’s no need to pretend anymore. This is just a get together for people who don’t want to be on their own, to feel comfortable and foster a nice, friendly circle of people. And if you want to come but don’t feel like talking much, then that’s cool, too! Take it at your own pace.

Women are also very welcome! :-)
