This free group is for friendship and dating, designed to reach out to others and create mutual support. The concept is simple: helping one other get out there in the world. Some meet-ups will be limited to 10 places so it’s not too overwhelming for new members. Simplicity is key — by thorough advance checking of details, e.g., seating, cloakroom, dress code etc., we can properly manage expectations and minimise the risk of social pitfalls so do feel free to get in touch if you wish to have a chat about the event before you attend!
I'll bring a large sign so you can quickly find us on arrival and stickers will be provided on which to write your name. Being shy and introverted can mean you’re concentrating so hard on getting the interaction right, you often forget their name or forget to ask (I’m prone to that)!
I don’t charge fees for attending our meet-ups. All I ask is that a one-off discretionary donation is made for your first time. This is to help cover the cost of running the group. Meetup groups are not free to run and cost £130 over the course of a year. I've put a link below (Paypal) where you give a one-off donation of £5 (or any amount) to help out. The group will always remain free so there is no obligation but it would be greatly appreciated. The link works on both desktops and smartphones.
Found on the lower ground floor of the Wardour Street restaurant, The Azulito Bar houses a collection of 100% agave tequilas unrivalled anywhere in the UK. Choose from one of 80 tequilas either to sip straight, or enjoy mixed up in a delicious margarita.
Not so long ago, cheap tequila shots, mind-numbing spices and greasy tortilla chips were what sprang to mind when Britain went out for a ‘Mexican’. Wahaca shook things up and started doing things a little differently, to show people in the UK how vibrant and delicious Mexican food really was.
Mexican street food is totally ageless and classless. On top of that, the food has so much integrity in the flavours and the sourcing of the products. That’s what Wahaca constantly work to bring to life, continually looking to the markets of Mexico for inspiration and recreating their wonderful food over here.
They've worked hard to match the flavours of Mexico with ingredients that they can get hold of to create a constantly evolving, seasonal menu with ingredients sourced as locally as possible, or grown and transported with care for the environment. Wahaca's mantra is to create a Sustainable restaurant business that is ageless and classless. Everyone should eat with their hands (or their forks if they really want to) – get stuck in and be social knowing the food they are eating isn't costing the earth in the process.
